I believe God is answering my prayers about what it looks like to “awaken love.” (See New Year’s Resolution.) Last night as I meditated on the topic, I told the Holy Spirit, “I fully yield to Your divine inspiration and leadership.”
This morning, God awoke me with this dream about “awakening love.”
I attended a worship service in a large and crowded room. As we worshiped, many became so engrossed in the presence of the Lord that they were oblivious to their surroundings. Those Christians radiated peace and joy, and they glowed with a subtle, blue light. Word about God’s presence in that place brought more people, anxious for a touch from the Lord. The crowd was bursting with joy and exuberance!
It seemed like the worship had ended, and people were talking in small groups. I moved around the crowded room to see what God was doing. I heard testimonies of healing and deliverance which came from their worship. I rejoiced at the testimonies. God’s presence was palpable. I returned to my seat and asked God to experience Him so intimately that I also glowed. Immediately, God asked, “Why not today?”
I bolted out of my chair and approached a small group of people who were still worshiping. The music had stopped, but they were on their knees singing, laughing, crying, praying. They were so enraptured in His presence that they didn’t even notice me. I knelt beside them.
Then I awoke. My interpretation is that worship is the key to “awaken love.” If I am longing for intimacy, if I want to feel God’s presence, if I want to shine with the His glory, then I must “enter in” to worship. The dream is my invitation to “enter in” today!
Worship opens our heart to God and awakens love. Worship draws us into His presence where nothing else matters. Worship is the place of healing and salvation and deliverance. It has never been easier to enter into worship; music streaming platforms abound. Many churches offer midweek opportunities to worship and praise. Come, join me, let’s “enter in!”
