The presence of the Lord was palpable, especially during the long, quiet, music time. I felt, rather than saw, angels on the platform when the worship leaders were simply playing softly for a long stretch.
I don't know what they were doing during that time; I never opened my eyes. I was having my own encounter with the Lord.
The Vision
I saw my beautiful, bare feet descending the steps of the temple. I stepped down into the river that flows from the temple. The water felt cool and silky. The sheen on my legs was the color of gold. I leisurely strolled in the river delighting in Him. I plucked a piece of beautiful fruit from the multiple trees lining the river. As I dragged my feet through the golden water enjoying my fruit, I plucked another. This one I handed to someone outside the river.
The Interpretation
The vision opened on my feet, but they were younger and prettier. I thought of Isaiah 52:7 “How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news …” (NASB). My feet were stepping down wide, stone stairs that I knew to be leading from the temple. I believe that God was affirming my time His presence (the temple).
God was also confirming that I do walk in His glory, His anointing (the golden river, Rev. 22:1-2). My leisurely stroll in the golden river is my enjoyment of Him and flowing with His anointing.
My time in His presence and flowing with Him allows me to delight in His goodness (eating the fruit). It allows me to offer His beautiful fruit to others who are outside the river.
The Application
I am encouraged to keep attending these worship and prayer opportunities. They draw me into His presence, which in and of itself is simply enjoyable. In addition to delighting in His presence, God gives me visions. I love that!
I feel empowered to walk in God’s authority and enjoy the fruitfulness that comes from that.
Finally, God has given me a heart to be generous with His good fruit. I want to offer it to everyone!
So, here I am, dear reader, holding out a beautiful and delicious piece of fruit to you. “O’taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (NASB)
