My spiritual journal is nearly full, so I sat in front of my bookshelf to choose a new journal. I have quite an array to choose from. Some have colorful floral or striped covers. Many have scriptures to contemplate as you journal. I also have many handsome leather-bound journals. There is also one made from recycled silk sarees that I am saving to give as a gift (it is too pretty to use!).
In all, there are 36 blank journals sitting on my bookshelf! Yes, 36!!
If I am never gifted another journal (highly unlikely) or never buy another journal (impossible!), I already have enough journals to last me until I am 90!
Least you think that I only collect and not use journals, I counted those as well. There are 32 used journals on my shelf . . . and several more scattered around the house. Since I started my spiritual journaling only 24 years ago, that is more than one a year.
Hmm? Maybe I don’t have enough journals for me to reach 90. Maybe I need a couple more . . . .
How many journals are on your shelf? I mean used one. If you don’t keep a spiritual journal already, let me urge you to start today! Spiritual journaling is not a diary of daily events. Spiritual journaling is a conversation with God. It is an avenue for intimacy with your Beloved Bridegroom. It is a record of His faithfulness in your life. It is a legacy of prayer for your children.
Again, I urge you, do not miss out on this tremendous blessing! Start today! If you need a journal, I would be happy to gift you one😊
