This is the fundraising motto of Atlas Free. Mountain climber Jeremy Vallerand used his climbs to raise money to fight human trafficking, thus began Atlas Free. They are a non-profit organization building a global movement to put sexual exploitation out of business. And I want to be a part of that!
I can think of no greater evil than abusing the bodies and souls of children. I hate human trafficking!!
I am going to fight this evil with something I love – watercolor. I love the fluid, soft-focus nature of watercolor paints. Those properties make watercolor the ideal medium for portraits. I will paint portraits to fight human trafficking.
I am offering to paint a watercolor portrait in exchange for a donation to Atlas Free. My goal is to raise $50,000 by December 2025. That’s a lot of portraits!
I have painted 4 sample portraits so donors can imagine what their portrait might look like. Atlas Free’s promo photo figures prominently on the explanation poster, along with a QR Code for direct giving. The portraits and poster hang on a display rack, together creating an attractive exhibit (see photo).
I installed the exhibit at my own church on Sunday. It will be there a month. Then we will move it to a different location. Would you like to help fight human trafficking by hosting this exhibit at your church, business, or art fair?
Perhaps you would like to be one of the first to donate and request a portrait. If so, click on the “Portrait” tab.
Maybe you can’t donate at this time, but still want to make a difference. What do you love? How can you use your favorite hobby to fight the evil of human trafficking?
Together we can set the captives free! Come join the fight!
