Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13 NKJV
As strange as it may seem, I asked our waitress if she was attending the local School of the Supernatural. I knew many students come to town from all over the world to attend that school. She replied that she was actually training to be a missionary.
After she had taken our order and left the table, my husband questioned me. How did you know that she was a Christian? What made you ask a total stranger if she attended the School of the Supernatural? I knew because she had the Holy Spirit “glow” about her.
Then he wanted to know who else in the restaurant had a “glow.” Did the bartender have a “glow?” Did the guy with the beard “glow?”
Jesus’ disciples Peter and John had that “glow” about them too (see above scripture). The Jewish leaders had arrested them and questioned them before the council. The council marveled at their knowledge and boldness. Even the Jewish leaders recognized that Peter and John had a “glow.” Yet, they were unschooled and untrained men. So where did they get the Holy Spirit “glow?” Peter and John had been with Jesus.
If you and I want to “glow” so brightly that others notice, we need to be with Jesus. If we want to have knowledge and boldness beyond our education or training, we need to spend time with Jesus. A radiant “glow” is only acquired in the presence of the glorious One.
How is your “glow?” Can others tell that you have been with Jesus?
