Book Review of:
Josiah’s Fire: Autism stole his words, God gave him a voice
By: Tahni Cullen, with Cheryl Ricker

I happened on this book by accident, and now I am recommending it to everyone I know!
I discovered it browsing at the half-priced bookstore looking for “God stories.” My favorite God stories reveal His beauty through broken people. The Cullen family felt broken and defeated as they struggled with their son Josiah’s autism. Then God did something miraculous!
The non-verbal Josiah learned to type on an iPad which allowed him to communicate his thoughts for the first time. The child who couldn’t sit still or focus long enough to learn his ABC’s was communicating in full sentences, with almost perfect spelling. As miraculous as that is, what Josiah revealed was even more so. Josiah talked about angelic visitations, trips to heaven, classroom with Jesus! Wouldn’t we all love that!?
Josiah’s communications are so insightful and relevant that his family started a Facebook page to post them called “Josiah’s Fire.” He has quite a following. It is obvious from the comments that Josiah is impacting people in meaningful ways.
This book gives boundless hope and healing for those dealing with autism. So, I am recommending it to everyone I know who ministers to those families.
Even if that is not you, a supernatural encounter with Jesus awaits you in this true-life God story. Enjoy!
