“. . . looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 NASB
Have you ever participated in a treasure hunt? I am not talking about following a faded map with a large, red X. I am referring to asking the Holy Spirit for clues to lead you to people to pray for.
In this type of treasure hunt, a person or team of people ask God for clues about those He highlights. For example, someone may sense that the person they should pray for will be wearing a green hat or carrying a red bag. Seeking a prophetic word or a particular illness to pray over is also part of the clue gathering process. God gives different clues to each team member, building unity and enhancing the adventure. Then the team sets out to find their treasure.
I have always wanted to do one of these team treasure hunts. But even before I had the opportunity to participate, I found myself on the receiving end of a treasure hunt!
Recently, I attended the International Healing Rooms Association Leadership Summit. It was encouraging to hear how God is moving in every corner of the globe.
At the Summit, I received a fresh revelation of how God sees me.
While clue-seeking, God told Dave that his treasure would be wearing purple and gray, which I was. God also told him that I needed prayer for hip pain and abdominal issues, which I was experiencing. This gentleman, whom I had never met, picked me out of a crowd of over 150 people . . . and he knew my exact ailments!
As Dave prayed for me, my legs grew and became the same length! I also felt the warmth of the Holy Spirit in my belly, as he prayed for my abdominal issues. Notice, I received a miraculous healing and a touch from the Lord. However, the thing that brought tears to my eyes was: I AM GOD’S TREASURE!
When I feel the burning desire of my Bridegroom God, I am moved to tears. He really does love me. He pursued me at all costs. He wants me as His marriage partner forever. He delights in me. I am His treasure.
Beloved, you are also God’s treasure. You are the joy that Jesus held in His heart as He endured the cross. His passion for you burned so brightly that the shame meant nothing to Him. Your Bridegroom God anxiously awaits your arrival at the wedding feast. He longs for you to give your heart to Him as a voluntary lover because you are His treasure.
